Free Parking at Morton Medical Centre to Continue in 2026 Thanks to Anonymous Donation

Douro-Dummer, ON—Following the tremendous success of the 2025 initiative and an overwhelming positive response from the community, Morton Medical Centre (MMC) is pleased to announce that free parking will continue for all patients and visitors in 2026, made possible by the generosity of an anonymous community donor.

The donation, made specifically to cover parking fees at MMC, has been met with heartfelt appreciation by both staff and patients. Throughout the year, thank-you cards and notes of gratitude have been sent to the donor, reflecting the widespread positive impact of this thoughtful gesture. “The free parking at the Morton Medical Centre, which was donated anonymously by a community member, has made such an immense positive impact for both staff at MMC and patients. We cannot thank the donor enough! This very generous gesture has not gone unnoticed!” said an MMC staff member.

Since opening in 2009, MMC has operated as a community-built, not-for-profit, charitable organization with two primary sources of revenue, tenant rent and parking. The support of community members has been essential to ensuring the Centre can maintain its facilities and provide accessible healthcare to thousands of patients in the region.

Free parking removes a significant barrier for patients accessing healthcare and exemplifies the spirit of generosity that has guided MMC since its inception. On behalf of its tenants, staff, and patients, the MMC Board of Directors sincerely thanks the anonymous donor for this extraordinary contribution.
