PFHT Health Clinic Notice

The PFHT Health Clinic located at the Morton Clinic has moved to 555 George
Street North in Peterborough, effective February 20th, 2025.

Recently, the PFHT Board of Directors requested that we review the PFHT Health
Clinic to ensure that a sustainability plan was in place. With the chronic neglect
of primary care, lack of investment, and growing demands, it is essential that
services offered are running as efficiently and effectively as possible.

While no decision can cover off all of the variables, this decision to relocate to
George Street North was driven by both patient and physician preference
and increased capacity for appointments.

Transportation is an issue for some county residents regardless of location of
service. The 555 George Street Clinic will double exam rooms, allowing us to
accommodate the growing interest from retiring physicians and those
considering opening a family practice in the community. Both City and County
residents will benefit.

The relocation will result in significant growth in the number of available
appointments to all area residents. This aligns with Peterborough Family Health
Team’s new vision within the latest Strategic Plan: excellent and accessible
primary care for all.
